The word Brahmothsavam is a two sanskrit words Brahma and Uthsavam. where Brahma refers to Lord Brahma and Uthsavam means Festival.

Vasanthotsavam is a festival celebrated in spring season for three days during the month of March and April.
The annual three day Temple purifying festival, Pavitro utsavam will take place in the famous shrine of Lord Sri Kapileswara Swamy in Tirupati. First day, Pavitra Pratista, second day Pavitra Samarpana and on the final day Purnahuti will be performed.
